Chairman Uncapher compares and contrasts the recent and highly suspect "green job" claims by the Obama and the O'Malley administrations with the recently lost job opportunities for shale oil and gas production. Uncapher concludes that while "green jobs have a contribution to make to recovery…we should not exaggerate their number or…let government prevent other energy related employment from being created"; and be "realistic about the long-term "sustainability" of jobs which are completely dependent on continued government subsidy to exist."

Chairman Uncapher previews the upcoming Maryland General Assembly session. He cites pre-session reports that indicate Democrats plan to simultaneously address the state's $1 billion structural deficit; increase transportation spending by $500 million; and raise the gas tax by 15 cents a gallon. He concludes that the promise to spend new gas tax revenues on transportation projects is merely a Maryland Democrats' bait and switch amendment to the formula of "spend and spend, and tax and tax, and elect and elect".

At the November 29th meeting of the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee, four new members were elected to the Committee: Deborah Lambert and Michael Higgs to legislative district 17; Sastry Dhara and Scott Graham to legislative district 15. At the same meeting, the current Central Committee officers were reelected to additional one year terms.

The Montgomery County Republican Party and Montgomery County Federation of Republican Women hosted the 2011 Christmakkah Party in Kensington to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program. The well over 200 attendees amassed hundreds of toys for the needy children served by the Toys for Tots program.

Does Governor Martin O'Malley's recent business trip to India indicate that he is finally getting serious about bringing business to Maryland? Clearly something is wrong as demonstrated by Bechtel and Northrop Grumman, which have both left the state for Virginia – taking hundreds of jobs with them.
