The Montgomery County 9th Annual Republican Convention will be held from 9 am to noon at the Universities at Shady Grove Auditorium, 9630 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville, MD
This annual event provides an opportunity for Montgomery County Republicans and other conservative political activists to hear notable speakers address current political issues, meet past and potential candidates for office, engage local precinct Republicans, and network with fellow Montgomery County Republicans and political activists.

David Craig
Harford County Executive
Having a life-long commitment to public service, David Craig brings has vast experience in municipal and state government. At a young age, he served his home town of Havre de Grace as a member of the City Council and later was elected the city’s mayor. After David proved himself at the local level, his responsibilities expanded to the state level when he was elected State Delegate and, later, State Senator. As Harford County Executive, David maintained his influence at the state level when he was elected President of the Maryland Municipal League in 2005, and he served as president of the Maryland Association of Counties. Louis Pope
Republican National Committeeman
In 2006, Mr. Pope was appointed by President Bush to serve on the Small Business Administration's National Advisory Council. The Council helps advise the SBA on market place activities and helps to shape policies that will assist in the formation and continued profitability of small business.
In addition to his industry activities, Mr. Pope is a past chairman of the Maryland State Republican Party and the Howard County Republican Party. He currently serves as the National Committeeman for Maryland to the national party, and is a four time delegate to the Republican National Conventions.
